What is Inner Healing?
- Inner healing is emotional healing.
- Inner healing is the process Jesus takes us through to heal our heart hurts, soul wounds, emotional wounds and set us free so that we can walk out all the things He’s called and created us to do and be.
- The way inner healing works is layer by layer.
- There are different levels of healing from basic to severe and Jesus wants to heal it all.
- Inner healing takes you through the process of identifying a core belief and the lie you are believing and replace it with God’s truth.
- The whole purpose is to allow you to have a safe place to hear and see what Jesus wants to do and say to you.
- Inner healing is not a one time thing. It’s a continually process.
How Do I Know if I Have Heart Hurts/Soul Wounds?
- If you have faced trials and trauma there is a good chance Satan has taken advantage of it and created hurts and wounds that need healing.
- If you have emotional or painful responses to memories or situations.
- If something is still raw about a past incident.
- If you respond to certain things in a ‘triggered’ way.
- If you have memory gaps.
- If you feel stuck and you feel like you’re being held back.
- If you feel like “well it will always be this way” or “I will always be like this it’s just who I am”
Partnering with God for Inner Healing
- God wants to use you.
- We can serve others best when we ourselves are healed and whole.
- Jesus is waiting for us to come to Him and allow Him to take the things we are carrying that we were never meant to carry.
- Hurt people hurt people.
- Once you get healed it is going to affect your relationships and community.
How Do I Know if I Should Pursue Inner Healing?
- Ask Jesus “Is there something you want to heal in my heart?”
- Ask your spouse and close friends and family if they think you need emotional healing.
- Jesus always shows up to love on those who pursue inner healing.
- You will come out better than you came in!
- The Father’s heart is compassionate and kind and gentle.
- There is no condemnation. There may be conviction, but that leads to repentance.
