Introduction

Kim lives in Phoenix, Arizona with her husband, and they are pastors at Fresh Start Church.
Kim grew up in a Christian home and both of her parents were ministers.
She got saved at the age of 7 and she has been serving the Lord in ministry ever since.

Revival Fire

10 years ago Fresh Start Church in Arizona experienced a true revival.
Kim and her husband were fervently praying for a revival in their church.
God came in August 2015.
God told them that he wanted them to keep Him there. He told them “ take this visitation and build it into a habitation.”
They have spent the last 10 years cultivating God’s presence in their church.

Visitation from God

When we get saved, Jesus makes his dwelling in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
The Bible says we can go from glory to glory or one degree of glory to another.
If there are deeper things of the Lord, why would we stay in the shallow?
When we cry out for more of God, we are asking for a greater measure of His presence.
God is limitless. He has many revival “types”.
Revival can come through salvations, healings, marriages restored, an outpouring of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, addictions broken, homosexuals set free, etc.
Revival is the result of the visitation from God.
A visitation from God is a manifestation of His presence that brings His presence and power that can transform lives.

This is a book written by Kim Owens.

You were born to have a close intimate relationship with Jesus.
We have access to the fullness of His spirit and access to all that He is in Heaven.

Personal Responsibility

The power of God is available to us, but we have to opt in.
It’s a choice.
The Holy Spirit is always there and always with us but you have to say yes to a life of zeal and passion.
We have to pursue the Lord and lay our lives down as a living sacrifice.
We have to cultivate a heart of desperation for the Lord.
We have to feed the spirit more than we feed the flesh.

Practical Ways to Spend Time in the Secret Place

Create a physical space to be with the Lord (closet, small room, etc.)
If possible, have your quiet time first thing in the morning.
Commit to spending time with the Lord daily.
During this time spend time worshipping and praising Him.
Then pray with understanding and pray in the spirit. Pray scripture and pray for specific needs.
Take time to listen to the Lord.
There is not any time in the secret place that is wasted. Even if you don’t feel anything, God is there.
The Lord will meet us if we make time for Him.
